Welcome to CIE!

CIE offers you a globally competitive and intensive one year long learning opportunity in gastronomy in the heart of the European Union. The international teaching staff of CIE is headed by chef Maki Stevenson. Maki received her chef diploma from the Natural Gourmet Institute of I.C.E. in New York City and has 20 years of teaching experience. Maki Stevenson was honored by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan as Goodwill Ambassador for Japanese Cuisine in 2017.  

During your studies at CIE you will have access to commercial kitchens and a creative environment for culinary experimentation and innovation. You’ll explore various cuisines, cooking styles, and ingredients, gaining a well-rounded culinary knowledge. We offer opportunities to connect with industry professionals, secure internships or jobs, and we can also assist with your work visa application. WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?​

The course will give you insight into both the theory and practice of professional cooking. You will learn various basic techniques of cooking, frying, roasting and baking, and will be able to use them with confidence.

CIE is located in an brand new exclusive venue in downtown of Budapest with excellent transport facilities.  The campus is equipped with two professional kitchens, a state-of-the-art lecture room, and with a gastro art gallery event space.
