WELCOME!

The history of the Culinary Institute of Europe began in 2016, when our founder, Maki Stevenson, recognized the need for a high-quality culinary education that meets international standards.

Following the success of our first Culinary Arts program, available in both Hungarian and English, in 2022 we expanded our offerings to include Pastry Arts and Vegetarian Chef programs.

Our programs are based on proprietary teaching materials, focusing on foundational techniques and current culinary trends. During the courses, you will learn from both domestic and international professionals who are actively working in the field.

Our goal is to train confident professionals with practical skills who can thrive both in Hungary and in international environments by the end of the program.

The language of instruction is Hungarian and English, welcoming both domestic and international students. Our programs are accredited, and upon completion, a state-recognized vocational qualification can be obtained.

Our Educational System

Our programs consist of three levels: foundational training as a chef or pastry assistant, complemented by courses in Vegetarian Cooking, Culinary or Pastry Arts, and professional English language instruction.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Important: Our institute provides professional training, which requires commitment – including regular practice at home and external professional internships.

If your interest in cooking is primarily at a hobby level, we recommend the courses offered by our partner institution, Makifood Cooking School.

Our programs are ideal for:

  • Current and future entrepreneurs and investors who want to understand the kitchen and culinary world from the inside.

  • Students with an insatiable thirst for knowledge who want to gain additional, practical skills that are highly applicable in the labor market alongside their existing studies.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN?​

The course will give you insight into both the theory and practice of professional cooking. You will learn various basic techniques of cooking, frying, roasting and baking, and will be able to use them with confidence.

WHERE WILL YOU LEARN?

CIE is located in an brand new exclusive venue in downtown of Budapest with excellent transport facilities.  The campus is equipped with two professional kitchens, a state-of-the-art lecture room, and with a gastro art gallery event space.

In our adult education programs, you can learn the fundamentals of preparing and presenting high-quality, health-conscious dishes within one year. You can also expand your professional knowledge with gastronomy marketing and business development skills, preparing you to even start your own business.

We also offer a 3-month installment plan to help finance the programs.
